1. Applicants must be a current member of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Harp Society as of October 31, 2025.
2. The scholarship is for actual cost of study, music, tuner, or harp accessories.
3. Previous first place winners may not apply in the same category.
4. Scholarship awards will be received by June 15, 2026 and must be used by June 15, 2026.
5. Scholarship winners must submit a written report to the Minnesota Chapter of the AHS by June 15, 2026 stating how the money will be spent.
6. Judges reserve the right to withhold any prize.
7. Winners must present one of the pieces in a concert at the May 2026 meeting.
Scholarship Competition
Scholarship competition dates and location TBA. Competitors will be contacted as to the time of their audition.
Application
The application will appear in both the January and March Newsletters. Application must be submitted by April 15, 2026. There will be no application fee.
Junior Student Scholarship
1 award of $150
Participants in this category must be no older than 12 years old on June 15, 2026. All pieces must be memorized.
Intermediate I
1st place award of $300;
2nd place award of $200
Participants in this category must be no older than 15 years old on June 15, 2026. All pieces must be memorized.
Intermediate II
1st place award of $400;
2nd place award of $250
Participants in this category must be no older than 18 years old on June 15, 2026. All pieces must be memorized.
Adult
1 award of $200
Participants in this category must be older than 18 years old with a maximum 6 years of harp study. Music may be used for all pieces.
All repertoire to be determined.
